Just Breathe

My anxiety lately is feeling more like a mesh sweater versus I am it or it's a narrow cage. I started to meditate in earnest instead of willy nilly. Kaiser offers a free year of the Calm app.

Last night I had book club. We sat around a gas fire with beers and talked about our families, life, and oh ya the book we read.

Life is hard much of the time - ups and downs; but sharing it with others is the only salvation. Hearing all of the me too, and yes.. We aren't alone. We are never alone. Sometimes it only feels that way.

Staying inside our darn heads is so lonely. It's a beautiful thing to stretch and feel like part of an ongoing conversation that evolves and grows with the warmth of others.

At the end of the day, we are all humans sharing this tiny prick of time. Shaped and formed by the very specific culture and patch of earth we are on.

We relate and in doing so create a warmth that is so sustaining.

It's all we have.
